Action To The Word
A Jacobean tragedy first published in 1657. The story explores wealth, love, corruption and death. Ending in a bloody conclusion.
Re-imagined in a site-specific venue, the experimental performance was produced using recycled materials relating to the decay within the storyline, as well as reducing our carbon footprint.
Performed by actor-musicians featuring physical theatre. The configuration was in-the-round and adapted to be end on, both which helped to create an immersive production. The design focused on the audience being the pawns on the chess board, being ‘played’ by Livia, the most meddling of all characters.
