Workshops & Learning Facilitation




Aileen runs two strands of workshops - Crafting and Props/Set/Costume - please see below for more information.

Working across institutions such as Young V&A Museum, Royal Ballet and Opera House, Polka Theatre as a Learning Facilitator Aileen has a wealth of experience working with children (from early years) up to adults, within schools and communities, including SEND. 

Aileen has worked hosted crafting workshops across London for corporate clients such as Google, Netflix and various law firms. As well as working private events, such as at Londons Natural History Museum.

Aileen has worked on Stockton International Riverside Festival Carnival for a number of years, leading workshops with schools, communities and groups to make costumes ready to wear for the carnival parade. She has also worked on Hebden Bridge’s Handmade Parade!

Craft Workshops:


What: Craft Workshops

Perfect for: Corporate team building, Parties (baby shower, hen do, birthday), Individuals hoping to learn a new craft

Ages: Can be tailored to any age, children or adults

Where: I can come to you, or we can find the perfect venue

Cost: Craft depending - please email me for details. (workshops from £15 a head for 1-2 hours)

Crafting workshops will soon be running under the company name of ‘Krafte’, these sessions are pre-booked, planned sessions where attendees can decide from a range of activities.

Activities include:
- Scrunchie making
- Macrame plant hangers or wall hangers
- Book binding
- Paper flower making
- Seasonal wreath making
- Air dry clay sessions (badge making, pot making)
- Block printing onto tote bags

These activities are perfect for anyone looking to try a new craft, team building excercises, corporate days, hen do’s, birthday parties and baby showers. All suitable for beginners.

Props, Set, Costumes Sessions:


What: Set, Costume, Props Design or Making Sessions

Perfect for: Schools, Community, Education, Home School

Ages: Can be tailored for any age

Where: I can come to your school, college or university, community centre

Cost: Depending on amount of participants, length of workshop and materials required - please email me for details. (Most sessions around £240 for a half day)

These sessions are pre-booked and everything will be prepared in advance. I can also tailor these sessions as drop-in sessions.

Please email me to discuss what workshop you would like and I can tailor it to your aims and outcome. We can come up with a new workshop tailored for you!

Previous sessions include:
Theoretical:
- Introduction into costume design
- Q&A on a career in set design or costume design

Practical:
- Puppet making (suitable for children aged 4-10yrs, 1 hr)
- Make your own theatre in a shoe box (suitable for children aged 7-15yrs, 1hr)
- Costume design (suitable for children aged 6-14yrs, 1hr)
- Costumes for carnival parade! (suitable for all ages, can be more flexible with session times)
